FAQs
What is a sworn translation?
It is a translation done by a sworn translator, who signs it, stamps it and attests that it is faithful to the document. It is the translation required by Italian town halls, prefectures, universities and consulates for foreign documents.
Do I receive the translation as a PDF or on paper?
You receive the translation as a signed and stamped PDF by email: for most procedures this is enough. If you need a paper copy, add the postal delivery option.
What if the authority asks for a translation certified as conforming to the original?
The standard translation conforms to the scan you send us. If the authority asks for conformity with the original, you send us the original document and conformity is certified: this option is available on quote.
Does the translation include the apostille or legalisation?
No. If the receiving authority requires them, write to us before ordering: we will send you a quote.
Which documents should I upload?
The complete, legible document: every page, including stamps, signatures and margin notes. A missing page cannot be translated.
How quickly will I receive the translation?
Within 24-48 working hours for a standard document. For long documents or less common languages, we confirm the turnaround before we start.
