Privacy notice

The Italian version shall prevail in the event of any discrepancy.

This notice explains how we process the personal data of people who visit giuradoc.it or purchase a sworn translation, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003).

1. Data controller

DOCUTRAD, société par actions simplifiée (SAS) incorporated under French law with a share capital of €1,000, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register (RCS de Paris) under No. 106 245 426, with its registered office at 78 avenue des Champs-Élysées, Bureau 326, 75008 Paris (France), trading in Italy under the Giuradoc brand. Data protection contact: info@giuradoc.it.

2. Data processed

  • Identification and contact data: first name, surname, email, telephone number and postal address for sending paper documents.
  • Order data: service purchased, language pair, amount and billing details. Card details are processed directly by the payment provider; the controller does not store them.
  • Content of the documents provided: this may include identification, family, educational, employment or financial data and, in some documents, special categories of data, such as health data, or data relating to criminal convictions.
  • Browsing data: IP address, device type and pages visited, depending on the cookies accepted.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Providing the translation service and managing the order: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Processing the content of the documents is essential for this purpose; where they include special categories of data, processing is based on Article 9(2)(a) or 9(2)(f) GDPR, as applicable.
  • Invoicing and accounting and tax obligations: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Handling requests and complaints: legitimate interest and, where applicable, performance of the contract.
  • Audience measurement and website improvement: consent, given through the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a)).

4. Recipients

Data is disclosed only to those who need it to provide the service:

  • the translator assigned to the file, who is bound by professional secrecy;
  • the authority that certifies the conformity of the translation or affixes the apostille, where the client chooses these services;
  • the provider of the e-commerce and hosting platform (Shopify);
  • the payment service provider;
  • the courier, for sending paper documents;
  • administrative and judicial authorities, where required by law.

Data is not shared for advertising purposes or sold to third parties.

5. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, the transfer is based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission or on standard contractual clauses, with the necessary supplementary safeguards.

6. Retention

  • Documents provided and translations: for as long as necessary to provide the service and the related guarantee, after which they are deleted.
  • Billing data: for the periods required by accounting and tax regulations.
  • Customer account data: for as long as the account remains active.
  • Browsing data: according to the lifetime of each cookie, as stated in the cookie banner.

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@giuradoc.it. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian data protection authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

8. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures to protect documents and data: encrypted connections, access control and restriction of access to those who strictly need it.

9. Cookies

The website uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, which do not require consent, and audience measurement cookies, which are only set if you accept them. The banner shown on your first visit allows you to accept, reject or configure non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.

10. Changes

This notice may be updated to reflect regulatory or technical changes. The version in force is the one published on this page.
