The Italian version shall prevail in the event of any discrepancy.
These terms govern the purchase of sworn translation services through the giuradoc.it website. By placing an order, the client declares that they have read and accepted them.
1. Service provider
DOCUTRAD, société par actions simplifiée (SAS) incorporated under French law with a share capital of €1,000, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register (RCS de Paris) under No. 106 245 426, with its registered office at 78 avenue des Champs-Élysées, Bureau 326, 75008 Paris (France), trading in Italy under the Giuradoc brand. Contact: info@giuradoc.it. Full details in the Legal notice.
2. Purpose of the service
The service consists of the sworn translation of the document provided by the client, carried out by a sworn translator who signs and stamps it and certifies that it is faithful to the document received. The translation is produced from the scan or photo uploaded by the client and is delivered in PDF format by email.
The following optional services are available: a paper copy sent by post and, on quote, a translation certified against the original document (which requires the original to be sent) and the apostille or legalisation.
The provider plays no part in the decisions of the receiving authority and does not guarantee acceptance of the document where this depends on requirements unrelated to the translation, such as legalisation, the apostille or the validity of the original.
3. Orders
The client chooses the document, specifies the source and target languages, uploads the file and confirms the order. The contract is concluded upon the order confirmation sent by email. If the file proves illegible or the number of pages does not match what was stated, the provider contacts the client before starting work.
4. Prices
The applicable prices are those shown on the page of each service at the time of ordering, expressed in euros and inclusive of taxes. The billing unit is the page, meaning each written side of the document, including stamps, annotations and apostilles. If the document requires a price adjustment, the provider confirms it with the client before work begins. Optional services are invoiced separately.
5. Payment
Payment is made when the order is placed, using the methods offered on the payment page. Work begins once payment has been confirmed. The invoice is issued automatically and can be requested at any time from info@giuradoc.it.
6. Delivery times
The delivery time is 24-48 business hours for a standard document. For long documents, less common languages or services on quote, the delivery time is communicated to the client before work begins. Delivery times run from confirmation of payment and receipt of a legible and complete document. Postal delivery times are additional.
7. Right of withdrawal
As a general rule, consumers have fourteen (14) days to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason, pursuant to Article 52 of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree No. 206 of 6 September 2005).
A sworn translation is, however, a service tailored to the client's document. Consequently:
- if the client expressly requests that performance begin before the end of the withdrawal period and acknowledges that they will lose this right once the service has been fully performed, the exclusion provided for in Article 59(1)(a) of the Consumer Code applies;
- as the service is clearly personalised, the exclusion in Article 59(1)(c) also applies.
As long as the translator has not started work, the order can be cancelled with a full refund. To exercise the right of withdrawal, simply notify info@giuradoc.it.
8. Client obligations
The client must provide a complete and legible document, state the exact spelling of proper names as it appears on their identity document and indicate the receiving authority. Corrections required because of incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client may be invoiced again.
9. Complaints and lack of conformity
The client has fourteen (14) days from delivery to report transcription errors, omissions or formatting defects attributable to the provider, which are corrected free of charge as quickly as possible. This is without prejudice to the legal guarantee of conformity provided for by the Consumer Code.
10. Liability
The provider's liability is limited to the proper performance of the translation ordered. The provider is not liable for damage resulting from late submission attributable to the client, from the absence of an apostille or legalisation on the original, or for the acceptance criteria of any authority. Nothing in this clause excludes liability that the law imposes on a mandatory basis towards consumers.
11. Confidentiality and personal data
Documents are handled confidentially and are accessed only by the staff who need to and by the translator assigned to the file, who is bound by professional secrecy. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy notice.
12. Force majeure
Inability to provide the service due to force majeure does not constitute a breach. In such a case the client is informed and, if the delay is incompatible with their procedure, may cancel the order and obtain a refund.
13. Applicable law and complaints
Consumers habitually resident in Italy retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of Italian law (Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation). Complaints may be sent to info@giuradoc.it. The European Online Dispute Resolution platform ceased operating on 20 July 2025.
